Travel Diary: Mati City

Photo: Kojak Taduran
Spontaneous trips are always the best. I feel like every time I say yes to a sudden getaway, it's always fun. We decided to go on the spur of the moment. It's a 3 hour drive from Davao City to Mati City. Impressive beach view from the top.

The view is simply breathtaking. If you are looking for a chill, laid back beach adventure getaway, then head over to Dahican. Swim with caution as the water is deep. A relaxing alternative from the stressful world.

The waves are great for skim boarding and surfing. They also offer beginner lessons at a reasonable cost.

Next on our list is to experience the Ultralight plane in Mindanao Saga Flight Club. I haven't tried it . I don't get the hype yet because I got scared. LOL. It's like a toy. Kojak and RA tried it and told me how amazing up there. A fun introductory flight costs P1,600 for a 15-minute flight, P2,500 for 30 minutes, and P3,500 for 45 minutes, costs P1,600 for 15 minutes with a GoPro video to record your amazing experience

We had the chance to meet some of the  members, pilots, and retired Col. Sammy Afdal who founded the Mindanao Saga Flying Club a few years back. If you are interested to visit Mati and experience these things, you can book or make arrangements with Travel Advantage. Like them on Facebook. here's the link.
