I work on a graveyard shift and sleep during the day. I saw the beauty of waking up early and enjoying the serenity. People who is working on graveyard shift can relate to this sentiments.LOL. I celebrate mornings during my day off. It's a luxury for me to wake up in the morning and enjoy coffee at home. If you're not one of those people who enjoy waking up in the morning yet. Here are some of many things you can do.
i was never a morning person. i grew up hating mornings. Time flies and a lot of things changed. Nothing last forever huh? LOL. Random things you hate when you were growing up. Now, you are enjoying it. Waking up at 5-6am is one of many things I now enjoy as I age. I learned to appreciate mornings when I started working in a BPO industry. Here are some of many things you can do.
Pray.
Never under estimate the power of prayer. It's a food for your soul.
Exercise.
Walk. Yoga. Run. A great way to stay on top and you get to lose weight. If you sweat as early as 6am, you don't feel sluggish or sleepy. This works for me and I've heard it from my mom. She keeps on telling me about this when I was growing up. True enough.
Take a Walk.
Nothings feels better than walking the empty streets early in the morning when the air is fresh. You get to appreciate your neighborhood.
Breakfast.
We always hear this 'breakfast is most important meal of the day.' Yes. It's always true. You need to fuel your body for the next few hours. We are talking about having a healthy breakfast. If you're hungry you can't generate great ideas. Do yourself a favor, please eat before you start your day.
Alone Time.
Quiet time during the morning is blissful. You get to gather your thoughts and listen to your own breathing. Ideas just start popping out when your brain is relax. This is the best time to plan your day. Take down notes. Nowadays, it's better to write your to-do-list. We can't rely in our mental list. You will forget few things.
Pep Talk.
It's nice to have a healthy conversation with yourself. You do a lil pep talk. Just dont do it out loud, you're on the risk of sounding crazy if someone caught you. LoL
Remind yourself how bless you are that you can enjoy another morning. A new day and a new hope.
Plan.
Always have a plan on how your are going to spend your day. Track your time. I usually write my to-do-list a night before. In the morning, I just go over my list to check what else did I miss. I only have 2 day offs, so I always plan how I will spend it. Remember, we only have 24 hours a day. So spend your time wisely. And please enough with the YOLO thing. There's nothing wrong about it, but some of us making this as ascape goat. You only live once so lets get lazy and sleep. Instead, you only live once so make the most of it. Let's stop procrastination. Planning is important because without realizing it, it’s already noon and you haven’t done anything productive.
Hitting the big 3-0 is like reaching a major checkpoint point in life. You’re suddenly compelled to examine your choices and decisions and to start becoming more serious in life. Your 20s have given you plenty of time to grow and establish yourself, but the journey doesn’t stop there. To truly set yourself up for success, here are a couple changes that you should make in your 30s. They’re not as easy as they sound, but trust us–they will be worth it!
Neither a morning person too. Haha. Cute dress :)
